Barefoot passed away on January 31st, 2009. He remained sober until his death. I had the fortune to meet Barefoot at meetings in North Idaho, where I learned about his website. Barefoot was a man of strong convictions, and many of his thoughts and beliefs are found on his website. He has dedicated a part of his website to the recovery from alcoholism.
